Baking for the holiday season requires some special tools. Nothing too complicated but having the right tools can make all the difference between perfectly done cookies and overdone, crunchy burnt cookies (not that I have any personal experience with that...).
While I could give you a long list of items, I've narrowed it down to 6 tools that I can't live without. My cookies just would not happen without these items!
MIXER
First and foremost, I cannot live without my KitchenAid Stand Mixer. This thing mixes, whips, kneads, and creams butter. They now have a mixing attachment that has a rubber spatula-like edge on it to thoroughly scrape the bowl...I mean, what?!!
It will last for years, (I've had mine for 10 years and it still runs just like it did on day one), extremely durable, and makes cookie making a snap.

SPOONS
Wooden Spoons may seem like such a simple item, but they really make the difference when it comes to thorough mixing up thick ingredients in recipes like granola, scraping bits off the bottoms of pans, or stirring soups like my Creamy Tomato or Roasted Acorn Squash Soup.

APRON
If you're planning on entertaining this holiday season, than an apron is an absolute must-have. It's a great place to wipe your hands, keeps flour and splashing sauces off your clothes, and allows to easily go from kitchen to hostesses in a flash!

NON-STICK BAKING SHEETS
The best thing that has happened for baking is Non-stick Baking Sheets . It makes baking cookies so easy without the uncertainty of them sticking! The cookies slide right off of the baking sheets and then they can be cleaned off and used for the next batch! I love it!
SCOOPS & COOKIE CUTTERS
And of course, you can't talk about cookies and not mention Stainless Steel Cookie Scoops and cookie cutters! Scoops guarantee your cookies are perfectly round and all the same size. I use my scoops for other things, as well, like muffin batter, or these Mini Pancake Bites, even mashed potatoes!
Cookie cutters come is so many great shapes nowadays! You don't have to stick to the usual Christmas Tree or Gingerbread Man anymore. I love these delicate snowflakes! I think they look so pretty and delicate and would look beautiful with a little white icing and sprinkles!
So that wraps up my list! What are your must-have items for baking?
