Yes, a Crock Pot (I have no affiliation, nor do I receive money from Rival...). It is the perfect little tool for creating masterpiece meals with very little effort. I love nothing more than throwing ingredients into a bowl, plugging it in, and then 3-5 hours later, presto!, a gourmet meal with very little effort. If you have children, or just don't want to work for your meal (I am both), than a Crock Pot is a must!
Here is what I'm working on for dinner tonight:
Barbequed Beef
Here is what you will need:
Doesn't get much easier than that! 2 lbs beef roast
1 pkg onion soup mix
1 cup Ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup corn syrup
1 tsp dry mustard
(Once again, none of the products shown send me money...I wish, but sadly, no. Use whatever brand you like best!)
Place beef in crock pot like so:
Sprinkle with onion soup mix:
Combine all other ingredients in a small bowl:
Pour over beef:
Plug in and let cook on Low for 6-8 hours. Or if you were lazy and didn't start until after your child went down for a nap, drank a cup of coffee, put in a load of laundry, and stared at Facebook for an hour; High for 3-5 hours!
Now isn't that beautiful? Dinner just cooking away and you hardly had to lift a finger!
The sauce is great for baked beans too...once I get a recipe section up and running, I'll post it there!
